Ibn's Development

@ 26month, Ibn is showing the following traits... (updated)

Speech Development
- More syllables of "words" produced
- Usage of No, No, No
- Recalls of events/people he is familiar with e.g. Mentioned 'ok, ok', referring to Tok Sab who visited us at the chalet

Physical Development
- Stable in running with arms swinging
- Climbs up and goes down staircases (with less help)
- Climbs the slide (barefooted), slides down steep slide
- Looks taller (commented by others)

Self-help
- Plays on his own without any of us(parents) with him
- Seeks help if required
- Requests from us what he wants (either verbally, pointing or bringing us to the place where the item is)
- Eats finger foods and snacks himself - without prompting. e.g. cut cucumbers and tomatoes, potato chips.

Emotional Development
- Enjoys rough play with Abuka
- Enjoys storytelling
- Mimicks when stories are told
- Shows love towards younger sibling and other family member voluntarily(kisses, hugs)
- Egocentrism for things belonging to him except food that is not of his favourites

Social Development
- Goes out with relatives(the familiar ones) without us with him e.g. to the playground with little uncles and aunts

Others
- Able to choose his favourite page for each book
- Able to initiate games/activities e.g. hide/seek with us
- Able to involve in imaginary play (based on knowledge acquired)
