Motherhood - Fulfilling the Amanah

Let this be a reminder to us parents especially those who are going to be or just become parents...

One ever said to me, "Having 2 kids is quite a handful."

I agreed with the above statement, initially. After thinking through, I told myself wasn't is a "handful" having more than 1 kids during our grandparents' era. And to share with whoever read this, Professor Kamsiah's parents had 17 kids in which 2 were given to others. Her mother is the solely caregiver for the other 15 and her father mainly sustained the family.

Children are gifts from Allah and each child's rezq is determined by him. So not us parents sigh and think that having more than 1 children is a burden. Mainly, we as parents are the trustees(amanah) who have to carry out our duties as parents.

So, in order to fulfill the amanah, I discovered that time management is very very very important. Seems that after a month of experiencing being a mother of 2, I notice that the rituals and routines of each child and other chores come one after another naturally, if we are prepared mentally and physically.

In whatever matter that we experience in our daily lives, somehow sacrifice comes into place. Hence less sleep and personal time for me. Not also forgetting the time for us to seek religious knowledge. May Allah s.w.t. bring barakah to our time and lives in this world. Ameen. Ameen. Ameen. Yaa Rabbal 'aalameen.
